G2G-3A

Like most iPhone 4 users, I’m very pleased with the phone. However, most of the cases available for them suck. They’re too bulky, too slick, too rigid and fragile, or they’re lint magnets. The iPhone 4/4S Battle Case was designed for military and emergency services personnel, and its best feature is the one I thought at first was a gimmick: the semi-rigid pull-loop on the bottom of the polymer body. It really speeds access, and adds stability in your hand.

The notched edges and honeycomb waffle pattern on the back provide good grip traction, but especially using the loop, it slides up out of your pocket smoothly. The loop is angled slightly so it won’t interfere with your charging plug, and your volume controls and on/off switch are protected. Two clear screen protectors are included, and a thin Kevlar back plate insert is optional for greater shock protection. Available in black, OD green and FDE; MSRP is $17.95. www.americancop.com/strike-industries
