Jase Medical provides a wide range of emergency and everyday use prescription medications.

(Editor’s note – making preparations like these for yourself and your loved ones allows you to be better focused on the task at hand during a widespread disaster or emergency.)

In this article, we examine Jase Medical and review one of its better-known products: the Jase Medical Base Case.

Why You Need Emergency Meds:

A storm has torn through your state, damaging homes, businesses, and vital infrastructure. Roads are blocked, and cities are without power. You try calling for help, but cell phone service is spotty, and your calls are not getting through. Walking the perimeter of your home to assess the damage, you cut your leg on a rusty, storm-damaged fence. You’ll need to clean and dress your wound and probably start a course of antibiotics. But, the hospitals are all overwhelmed with everything from serious storm-related injuries to heart attacks.

You try to reach your doctor, but the answering service says the office is closed and they can only take a message. A few days later, your leg is red, painfully swollen, and throbbing. Even if you do manage to speak to a doctor, there’s little chance of getting any prescriptions filled since most stores, including many pharmacies, are without power and still closed. You’ve heard many horror stories of people dying from untreated infections, and you’re starting to get concerned.

Each Jase Base Case comes with a convenient carry bag, patient education materials, and a detailed guidebook.

To make matters worse, you are running low on your heart meds and your spouse’s diabetes medication. Yesterday, while talking to a neighbor, you heard that the storm has impacted the supply chains, including food and medication deliveries. If that’s true, even after the power comes back on, it may be quite some time before the pharmacies are restocked. You are quickly running out of options.

Emergency Medications:

While many people keep a relatively well-stocked first aid kit and some over-the-counter (OTC) medications, few people maintain an adequate supply of emergency medications, like antibiotics. Primarily because many of these medications are by prescription only and can be very difficult to obtain in any meaningful quantities. In the past, people who wanted to be prepared often resorted to drastic measures, including buying fish antibiotics (since those were available without a prescription.)

The Base Case comes with medications to treat pneumonia, sinus infections, traveler’s diarrhea, urinary tract infections, skin infections, sexually transmitted diseases, and much more.

Today, companies like Jase Medical have addressed this need. They offer attractive, all-inclusive solutions for prescription meds with an easy process and reasonable prices. (www.JaseMedical.com)

Daily Use Medications:

Jase also offers up to a 12-month supply of your current daily prescription medications. This means that you can stock up and protect yourself against any unforeseen events. Medications include those commonly prescribed for diabetes, heart health and blood pressure, cholesterol, mental health, and many more.

The Jase Process:

Ivermectin is one of those medications that has become extremely difficult and expensive to obtain. You can order Ivermectin from Jase Medical as an add-on to the Base Case.

I had never used an on-line service for prescription meds, but I found the Jase website to be very easy to use. The entire process took only a few minutes, from start to finish. After selecting from the many products, I answered a few medical questions. I typed in the prescription medicines I currently take. (I chose the Jase Base Case, with an Ivermectin 3mg (20 tablets) add-on. After a few more steps, my order was complete.

Shortly after checking out, I received an email from a “board-certified internal medicine physician” who was licensed in my state. The doctor confirmed that my chart had been reviewed, and my order was being submitted to the pharmacy to be filled. The message even offered an option to reply directly to the doctor if I had any questions. (Please note: Some states require a live encounter with a physician; in those cases, you will receive a call from the physician.)

I received my order a few days later.

While not intended to be an all-inclusive medical guide to disease or medications, the Jase Case Guidebook contains over 200 pages of very useful information including symptom charts, conditions, and medication description(s) and uses. The Guide is included with each Base Case.

The Jase Case:

The Jase Case comes with a convenient travel pouch with a guidebook and contains the following medications:

  • Amoxicillin-Clavulanate, generic for Augmentin® – Urinary tract infections, bite wounds, dental infections, pneumonia, skin, sinus and throat infections, and more.
  • Azithromycin (Pack of 6) – Commonly used by people who have an allergic reaction to penicillin in order to treat ear, throat, or respiratory infections, diarrhea, sexually transmitted diseases, and typhoid fever.
  • Ciprofloxacin – Urinary tract infections, bone and joint/joint infections, infectious diarrhea, kidney infections, prostatitis, intra-abdominal infections, and certain bioterror infections.
  • Doxycycline – Ear/sinus infections, pneumonia, malaria, Lyme disease, bioterror infections like anthrax, plague and tularemia, MRSA, and more.
  • Metronidazole – Skin infections, tetanus, sexually transmitted diseases, C diff diarrhea, and other conditions.

There are various versions of the Jase Case, including for adults, kids, and teens.

You can also customize your basic Jase Case with over two dozen prescription add-ons. A full list of all the available add-ons is available on the Jase Medical website. These add-ons can be included in your order using the same process when you order the Jase Case.

The cost of your order will vary depending on the Jase products you choose and the add-ons you include. Still, the price covers the physician consultation and shipping.

While you probably won’t be able to use your health insurance to pay for your Jase medications, you should be able to use your HSA card. (Check with your healthcare insurance provider.)

Patient education materials come with every Base Case, and include specific information about each medication – Uses, Side Effects, Precautions, Interactions, and contact information to request an oral consultation from a pharmacist regarding your medication(s).

Securing a supply of emergency and daily-use prescription medications protects you and your family during times of crisis, emergencies, shortages, or social upheaval.
