There is a need for tactical equipment. And then there is a need for practical equipment. By that, I mean necessary gear that does not scream “tactical,” but gives you (or someone you care about) the capability to work through an unplanned but foreseeable event.
One of those items is Streamlight’s Wedge flashlight. Yes, it has been around since 2020. This year, they added more colors, giving you seven options. Most of which don’t indicate military or police.
When turned on, the Wedge’s first setting puts out 300 lumens for up to three hours. The new versions come with THRO – Temporary Heightened Regulated Output – giving you a 35-second 1000-lumen burst.
From a practical application standpoint, the size works for those dealing with dress code and clothing cut issues.
