By Woolrich Elite Series Tactical
Nice, comfortable looking jacket, ain’t it? What you don’t see are two deep, roomy interior pockets with elasticized holster loops to place full-sized handguns right about where a shoulder holster would position them. Behind the rear “locker loop,” is a vertical tunnel running down to belt-level inside, for plastic restraints and comm cables. There are elasticized loops for magazines, pepper spray or comms in both handwarmer pockets too.
Woolrich gave one of their best-selling civilian casual jackets a tactical makeover, producing a toasty, non-restricting plainclothes and off-duty “packin’ jacket.” The shell is tough cotton-twill lined with polyester sherpa fleece; sleeves have 60-gram Arctic Insulation under smooth nylon. The pockets are big enough to afford full-fist grips and easy drawing, but made so they won’t flare open to reveal contents. Offered in dark wheat (shown) or dark shale, it’s a bargain with a MSRP of $129.99.
