Hand-held glass breakers can be lifesavers, whether you’re affecting a rescue or forcibly evicting dirtbags from their Dodges. Smaller ones can be easily carried, but when you’re doing dirtbag removal, you give up a hand to use them. A slip or a grab by a suspect can lead to serious lacerations. For those kinds of “tender moments,” the GAT, mounted on the A-1 or A-2 flash suppressor of your AR, can be the perfect solution.
Made of tough, anodized aluminum, the underside holds a sharp, triangular tungsten carbide “tooth” which easily breaks auto safety glass. The triple-pointed tooth can be removed and rotated if necessary. It attaches with two hex screws, doesn’t interfere with flash suppression, and weighs only 1 oz. MSRP: $80.
