Good binoculars are an asset; being able to digitally record is even more valuable. Image-View 8×30 binocs take 5MP photos and video. The SyncFocus feature assures what you see is what you record, and dual diopter adjustments let you fine-focus to fit your eyes. Set the video cam to take 8- to 60-second loops, viewable as instant replays, or set to “norm” for longer lengths. An internal memory handles 21-hi-res or 213-low-res photos, and you can add up to a 32GB memory card for extended videos.
A flip-up 1.5″ LCD screen lets you review on-scene, and an included USB cable allows downloading direct to a PC. A programmable date/time-imprint function makes for good evidence. Operational controls are easy to learn and use, and the optics are bright and clear. MSRP: $349.95.
